Meaford sits on Nottawasaga Bay under the escarpment, and the municipality reaches a very long way inland. Which is why so much of the work here happens nowhere near the town itself.

Meaford’s local distribution company was one of the eighty-seven acquired by Hydro One, so this is a provincial utility rather than the municipal ones running Collingwood and Orangeville. It matters mainly for scheduling — a service disconnect here queues the way it does in Orillia.
And the shoreline
The harbour and the shore either side of it carry the same Section 78 obligations as the rest of the bay. Docks, piers and boathouses are governed separately, and rule 78-050 requires ground-fault protection on exterior 15 A and 20 A receptacles at them.
