A regional electrical contractor, not a town one
Georgian Bay Electric works across Midland, Orillia, Collingwood, Bracebridge, Huntsville and Parry Sound, and the outlying communities around each. That is a wider area than most electrical contractors here cover, and it is a deliberate choice: the towns are individually small, and the work in them is the same work.
There are good long-established electricians in every one of these towns, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What we do differently is treat the paperwork and the scheduling as part of the job rather than as an afterthought. Most of the delay on electrical work in this region is not the wiring — it is a notification filed late, or a service disconnect booked with the wrong utility.
We would rather tell you a subpanel solves your problem for a quarter of the price of a service upgrade, and lose the larger job, than sell you the larger job. That is easier to say than to do, so the written findings you get include what we think you should not spend money on.

Talk to a Midland electrical contractor
Tell us the town, roughly when the building was put up, and what the panel looks like — fuses or breakers, and the number on the main. Those three things decide whether you are looking at an afternoon, a scheduled job, or a conversation with your distributor first, and they are usually enough to price it without anybody driving anywhere.
